Caption | Front from left to right: Hans Wehrli, Max Nicora, Hans Moor, Jochen Wolf and Max Dürr, back row left: Dürst Franz. After the arrival of the first Boeing 747, HB-IGA, it was first available for some time in the extended hangar 1 for technical training, PDM, etc.. The head of TWL, Josef Wenzinger (nicknamed "Düsensepp") demanded, among other things, that an engine change be simulated for training purposes. Time requirements were determined, work cards verified and, above all, an equipment fitcheck carried out. In the shipyard, the overhead crane could be used for this purpose, but for the engine change at an outstation, a bootstrap hoist had to be used. |
