Caption The railroad was opened in 1877, in 1920 it was converted to meter gauge, electrified and merged with the Bayonne-Lycée-Biarritz tramway. The world's first compound steam locomotives based on the Anatole Mallet system were used on this railroad. The pictured locomotive type 030T is probably a two-cylinder compound locomotive of the series 3-5, built by the Pétau company in Passy.
Caption (German) Die Bahn wurde 1877 eröffnet, 1920 wurde sie auf Meterspur umgestellt, elektrifiziert und mit der Strassenbahn Bayonne-Lycée-Biarritz zusammengeschlossen. Auf dieser Bahn wurden die ersten Verbund-Dampflokomotiven der Welt nach System Anatole Mallet eingesetzt. Bei der abgebildeten Lokomotive Typ 030T dürfte es sich um eine Zweizylinder-Verbundlokomotive der Serie 3–5 handeln, gebaut von der Fa. Pétau in Passy
