Walter Ackermann had to perform a belly landing with the Lockheed Orion in Geneva, because the landing gear was jammed by a piece of asphalt and could not be extended. The aviation writer Walter Ackermann described this event in his "Bordbuch eines Verkehrsfliegers" in the chapter "Der rote Hund". |
Caption (German) | Wurde von der Swissair seinerzeit als schnellstes Passgierflugzeug in Europa eingesetzt. Am 1.Mai 1933 musste Capt. Walter Ackermann mit der Lockheed Orion in Genf eine Bauchlandung durchführen, da das Fahrwerk durch ein Asphalt-Stück verklemmt war und nicht ausgefahren werden konnte. Der Fliegerschriftsteller Walter Ackermann hat dieses Ereignis in seinem "Bordbuch eines Verkehrsfliegers" im Kapitel "Der rote Hund" packend beschrieben |
