Caption | Freight train variant, of the express train type, wheel arrangement 0-6-0. Locomotive of the SG (Standard Goods Locomotive) series developed by the British Engineering Standards Association (BESA), which was also used in front of passenger trains. With almost 1000 units, it was one of the most built locomotives in British India, the last ones being retired only in the early 1990s. Note the footboard and handrail on the side wall of the tender, which made it possible to reach the train from the locomotive while it was running; 14 examples (NBL lot L408), NWR 1183-1196, NBL serial numbers 19272-19285. |
Caption (German) | Güterzugs-Variante, des Schnellzugstyps, Achsfolge 0-6-0. Von British Engineering Standards Association (BESA) entwickelte Lokomotive der Baureihe SG (Standard Goods Locomotive), die aber auch vor Personenzügen eingesetzt wurde. Mit beinahe 1000 Stück einer der meist gebauten Lokomotivtypen Britisch-Indiens, die letzten wurden erst Anfangs der 1990er-Jahre ausrangiert. Man beachte Trittbrett und Handlauf an der Seitenwand des Tenders, der ermöglichte, während der Fahrt von der Lokomotive aus den Zug zu erreichen; 14 Exemplare (NBL Los L408), NWR 1183-1196, NBL Werknrn. 19272-19285 |
