Caption Construction of the approximately 200 m long tunnel on the Passwangstrasse. The road connects the Laufental and the Schwarzbubenland via the Thierstein communities of Büsserach, Erschwil and Beinwil with Balsthal, the southern foot of the Jura and thus also with the Swiss midlands. The tunnel was built from 1931 to 1933.
Caption (German) Bau des etwa 200 m langen Tunnels an der Passwangstrasse. Die Strasse verbindet das Laufental und das Schwarzbubenland über die Thiersteiner Gemeinden Büsserach, Erschwil und Beinwil mit Balsthal, dem Jurasüdfuss und damit auch mit dem schweizerischen Mittelland. Gebaut wurde der Tunnel von 1931 bis 1933.
