Caption | In front of the bus garage Hagenholz, Hagenholzstrasse 70. Prototype articulated car. Chassis: Saurer 5GUK-A built 1963. Engine: Saurer 6cyl. DCUL 210 hp, with Nova compressed air starter. Transmission: Fully automatic Voith-Diwabus type D501, 2-speed. After the articulated trolleybus prototypes of 1954, 1958 and 1961, this was the first articulated trolleybus with underfloor engine. The test results were so satisfactory that series production was started without any modifications. A total of 52 articulated buses were delivered in 3 series in the years 1965-1970. The bodies were supplied by Saurer Arbon and Gebr. Tüscher Zurich. |

Getriebe: Vollautomatisches Voith-Diwabus Typ D501, 2-Stufig. Nach den Gelenkautobus-Prototypen aus den Jahren 1954, 1958 und 1961 war dies der erste Gelenkwagen mit Unterflurmotor. Die Testergebnisse waren so zufriedenstellend dass die Serienproduktion ohne Änderungen erfolgte. In 3 Serien wurde in den Jahren 1965-1970 Total 52 Gelenkbusse abgeliefert. Der Aufbau lieferten die Firmen Saurer Arbon und Gebr. Tüscher Zürich. |
