Caption | The "Uri", built by Gebr. Sulzer in 1900, was launched on January 19, 1901, and was completed afloat. In April 1901, the first sea trials took place, during which a number of photographs of the ship were taken by the builder. The Uri makes her maiden voyage on May 2, 1901. In her first season, there are still no bow ornaments and no garlands by the name train. These decorative elements were made in the winter of 1901/02 by the Lucerne blacksmith Ludwig von Schnyder-Wartensee. |
