On May 1, the Zurich-Munich-Vienna express route was inaugurated and the previous cruising speed was increased from 160 to 260 km/h. Technical data of the two Lockheed CH 167 and CH 168: Wright Cyclone engine 575 hp, wingspan 13 m, length 8.5 m, height 2.85 m, crew: 1 pilot, 4 passenger seats, construction material wood, empty weight 1630 kg, payload 820 kg, maximum weight 2450 kg. Maximum speed 360 km/h. Cruising speed 260 km/h."
Caption (German) Zeitgenössische Bildbeschreibung des Swissair-Marketings: "Lockheed Orion, CH 168, Im Jahre 1932 führte die Swissair als erste Fluggesellschaft Europas amerikanische Schnellflugzeuge ein. Am 1. Mai wurde die Expresslinie Zürich-München-Wien eröffnet und die bisher übliche Reisegeschwindigkeit von 160 auf 260 km/Std. erhöht. Techn. Daten der beiden Lockheed CH 167 und CH 168: Wright Cyclone Motor 575 PS, Spannweite 13 m, Länge 8,5 m, Höhe 2,85 m, Besatzung: 1 Pilot, 4 Passagierplätze, Baustoff Holz, Leergewicht 1630 Kg., Zuladung 820 Kg., Maximalgewicht 2450 Kg.
