Caption Les Salles-sur-Verdon is located on the reservoir, Lac de Sainte-Croix, about 40 km west of Nice. The old "Les Salles-sur-Verdon" and the "Fontaine de l'Evêque" sank in the new reservoir in 1973. This karst spring supplied a lot of water several m3/s at that time. Das alte "Les Salles-sur-Verdon" und die "Fontaine de l'Evêque" versanken 1973 im neuen Stausee. Diese Karstquelle lieferte damals viel Wasser mehrere m3/s.
