Caption Class 50, built 1939-1948, various manufacturers, UIC: 1'E h2, retired in 1987. The most frequently built steam locomotive in Germany, possibly even worldwide, because this type was ultimately built in very large numbers as a "war locomotive" with increasing refinements. Locomotive remained active on the High Rhine line and in the Lake Constance area until the end of steam operation around 1971
Caption (German) Baureihe 50, Baujahre 1939-1948, diverse Hersteller, UIC: 1’E h2, Ausmusterung 1987. Die meistgebaute Dampfloks Deutschlands, womöglich sogar weltweit, weil dieses Muster mit zunehmenden Entfeinerungen letztlich als "Kriegslokomotive" in sehr grossen Stückzahlen gebaut wurde. Lokomotive verblieb bis zum Ende des Dampfbetriebes um 1971 auf der Hochrheinstrecke und im Bodenseeraum aktiv
