Caption Built 1928/29, last two-axle procurement of the VBZ. New type, fast running and small engines, which allowed to lower the car floor. Internal designation therefore "Schnellläufer", 160 hp, 38 km/h. In their last years of service, these cars were used almost exclusively on lines 15 and 6, where they achieved a certain fame as "Sächsistram". Two examples exist in working order. Cut on the right is an "Elefant" from class 1301 ff.
Caption (German) Erbaut 1928/29, letzte Zweiachser-Beschaffung der VBZ. Neuartige, schnell laufende und kleine Motoren, was es erlaubte, den Wagenboden tiefer zu legen. Interne Bezeichnung deshalb "Schnellläufer", 160 PS, 38 km/h. In ihren letzten Dienstjahren wurden diese Wagen fast ausschliesslich auf den Linien 15 und 6 eingesetzt, wo sie als "Sächsistram" eine gewisse Berühmtheit erlangten. Zwei Exemplare betriebsfähig vorhanden. Rechts angeschnitten ein "Elefant" aus der Baureihe 1301 ff.
