Caption | In today's cotton spinning mill, the cotton flocks are presented to the carding machine as a fleece via the carding shaft after various cleaning machines. In the past, this fleece was produced on the carding machine and presented to the carding machine as a lap (white roller in the foreground). In the background, through the curved pipe, the coarsely opened cotton flocks came to the first cleaning machine. This reduced the size of the tufts by crushing them. The fan above, sucked off the dust. In the two visible drums, the tufts were torn open and solidified to such an extent that they could be wound up as fleece. |
