Caption Front: Captain Felix Künzler (1914-1988), left rear co-pilot Manfred Bayer. Comment by Manfred Bayer: "The photo was taken by the Swissair press service in the aircraft in the hangar at the end of 1956, shortly after the delivery of the first DC-7 to Swissair. The flight engineer (F/E) is the "F/E veteran" Roger Gfeller. The photo was published in the "Schweizer Illustrierte" and in many other press products. It was used all over the world as an advertisement for the Omega watch company. I saw the picture still and still in the USA, e.g. in department stores in the toy department where airplane models were offered".

Kommentar von Manfred Bayer: "Das Foto wurde Ende 1956, kurz nach der Ablieferung der ersten DC-7 an die Swissair vom Swissair-Pressedienst im Flugzeug im Hangar aufgenommen. Beim Flight Engineer (F/E) handelt es sich um das "F/E-Urgestein" Roger Gfeller. Das Foto wurde in der "Schweizer Illustrierten" und in vielen andern Presse-Erzeugnissen publiziert. Es diente auf der ganzen Welt als Reklame für die Uhrenfirma Omega. Ich sah das Bild noch und noch in den USA, z. B. in Warenhäusern in der Spielzeug-Abteilung wo Flugzeugmodelle angeboten wurden"
