Caption The most important working tool: herbarium with hundreds of pressed plants in paper folders in Eduard Rübel's study in the Bernina Hospice near Pontresina, where he collected the basis for his "Pflanzengeographische Monographie des Berninagebietes" in 1905-1906. On the table is the botanizing box for collecting the plants, on the floor is a bundle of herbarium folders pressed together by iron bars and chains, on the shelf is the indispensable coneflower
Caption (German) Das wichtigste Arbeitsinstrument: Herbar mit Hunderten von gepressten Pflanzen in Papiermappen in Eduard Rübels Arbeitszimmer im Bernina-Hospiz bei Pontresina, wo er 1905-1906 die Grundlagen für seine "Pflanzengeographische Monographie des Berninagebietes" sammelte. Auf dem Tisch liegt die Botanisierbüchse zum Sammeln der Pflanzen, am Boden steht ein von Eisengittern und Ketten zusammengepresstes Bündel Herbarmappen, auf dem Regal liegt der unverzichtbare Sonnenhut
