Caption DS "Stadt Biel" built by Escher Wyss in 1875 for Lake Geneva, where she was in service as DS "Cygne" until 1910 and subsequently sold to Lake Biel. After a reconstruction and a total overhaul, the "Stadt Biel" can be put into service in May 1911 and served until 1934. postmark 19.7.1919
Caption (German) DS „Stadt Biel“ erbaut von Escher Wyss 1875 für den Genfersee, wo sie bis 1910 als DS „Cygne“ in Dienst stand und in der Folge auf den Bielersee verkauft wurde. Nach einem Umbau und einer Totalrevision kann die „Stadt Biel“ im Mai 1911 in Dienst gestellt werden und versah diesen bis 1934. Poststempel 19.7.1919
