Caption | The two round/dome-shaped structures on the lake belong to Expo 02. Bottom left: conspicuous vineyard near the station belongs to the Palais du Peyrou, home of the de Peyrou family, a Protestant French family that emigrated to Suriname after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes and became wealthy with plantations there. The Peyrous made possible the first publications of J. J. Rousseau. Today the house is both a historical museum and a restaurant and serves the city for representational purposes |

Links unten: auffälliger Weinberg in Bahnhofsnähe gehört zum Palais du Peyrou, dem Sitz der Familie de Peyrou, einer protestantischen französischen Familie, die nach der Revokation des Ediktes von Nantes nach Surinam auswanderte und dort mit Plantagen reich wurde.
