Caption Saloon steamer "Rhone", the last paddle steamer built by Sulzer (1926/27). The ship is still active today, relatively unchanged, but will undergo a major overhaul in 2019/20 under monument preservation supervision. The steam engine will be preserved - by the way, it is an absolute unique specimen, there is no second engine of this type in the world: at that time a Sulzer primeur - and not built a second time
Caption (German) Salondampfer "Rhone", letztes von Sulzer erbautes Raddampfschiff (1926/27). Das Schiff ist, relativ unverändert, auch heute noch aktiv, wird aber in den Jahren 2019/20 einer grossen Revision unter denkmalpflegerischer Begleitung unterzogen. Die Dampfmaschine bleibt erhalten – sie ist übrigens ein absolutes Unikat, es gibt weltweit keine zweite Maschine dieser Bauart: damals ein Sulzer-Primeur – und kein zweites Mal gebaut
