Caption DS "Rhone", last steamship built for Lake Geneva and also the last paddle steamer design by Gebr. Sulzer in Winterthur, built in 1926/27. Although the ship has been partially modernized in various aspects (e.g. new boilers around 1967), it is today essentially still in its original condition. A major overhaul with retention of the steam propulsion system is planned for 2019/20.
Caption (German) DS "Rhone", letztes für den Genfersee gebautes Dampfschiff und auch letzte Raddampfer-Konstruktion der Gebr. Sulzer in Winterthur, Baujahr 1926/27. Das Schiff ist zwar in verschiedenen Aspekten teilmodernisiert worden (bspw. neue Kessel um 1967), ist aber heute im Wesentlichen noch in seinem Ursprungszustand. Eine Grossrevision unter Beibehaltung des Dampfantriebs ist für die Jahre 2019/20 geplant
