Caption | At the so-called Alpnacherbrücke (at that time): DS "Schiller", built by Gebr. Sulzer in 1905/06. Until 1963, all ships of the fleet, with the exception of the "Stadt Luzern" and MV "Schwyz", could pass the Acheregg with the swing bridge at Standstad and reach Alpnachstad. The units mentioned above had masts that were too high and would have come into conflict with a power line. Since 1964, only adapted ships can enter this part of the lake; of the steamers, this is only possible for the "Unterwalden", which has a telescopically retractable chimney and a lowerable wheelhouse: since that year, the narrows of the lake are spanned by the freeway and railroad bridge, which only allows a passage height of a good 7m |
Caption (German) | An der sog. Alpnacherbrücke (damals): DS "Schiller", 1905/06 erbaut von Gebr. Sulzer.
