| Caption | What looks like a single snow surface is in the foreground and middle ground a sequence of at least three mountain ridges, interrupted by two deep valleys. In the foreground: Gepatschferner with Vordere Hintereisspitze on the left. On the right slightly above: Bergkrete with the Sennkogel (3400 m). And behind, behind the eastern Venter valley, from left to right: Mutmalspitze, Marzellspitzen, Similaun. By the way, "Ötzi the iceman" was found somewhere in the back right corner |
| Caption (German) | Was aussieht wie eine einzige Schneefläche ist im Vordergrund und Mittelgrund eine Abfolge von wenigstens drei Bergkreten, unterbrochen von zwei tiefen Tälern. Im Vordergrund: Gepatschferner mit links der Vorderen Hintereisspitze. Rechts leicht darüber: Bergkrete mit dem Sennkogel (3400 m). Und dahinter, hinter dem östlichen Venter Tal, v.l.n.r.: Mutmalspitze, Marzellspitzen, Similaun. Übrigens wurde rechts hinten irgendwo "Ötzi der Eismann" gefunden |
