Caption | Left: the closer of the two steamships is "General Dufour", built 1904/05 by Gebr. Sulzer, very powerful and stable ship but was considered a "coal guzzler" and was therefore used somewhat cautiously, in the 2nd World War and up to and including 1953 the steamer lay idle, reactivated in 1954, it was active until the Expo 1964 and was then parked, in the shipyard Ouchy the ship slowly rotted. The steamer behind it can not be determined with certainty |
