Caption Around 900 pensioners at the annual meeting. DS "Schiller" is shown here before the extensive general overhaul of 1998-2000, during which the almost 100-year-old boiler system was replaced by a modern boiler, the engine was overhauled and the entire steel structure of the ship, from the keel to the top of the mast, was renewed or rebuilt where necessary.
Caption (German) Rund 900 Pensionierte beim Jahrestreffen. DS "Schiller" zeigt sich hier noch vor der tiefgreifenden Generalrevision von 1998-2000. Dabei wurde vor allem die fast 100 Jahre alte Kesselanlage durch einen modernen Kessel ersetzt, die Maschine generalrevidiert und der ganze Stahlbau des Schiffes, vom Kiel bis zur Mastspitze wo nötig erneuert oder neu gefertigt
