Caption | Aircraft seats and medical equipment for patient transport in rescue helicopters and airplanes are also manufactured by Bucher Leichtbau AG in Fällanden. Heinrich Bucher, an aircraft tinsmith in the engineering department, built the galleys for the first two Douglas DC-6Bs at the Swissair shipyard in 1951. In 1953, he went into business for himself and manufactured other galleys as well as service trolleys, meal containers and accessories for cabin service in aluminum. This gave rise to today's Bucher Leichtbau AG in Fällanden |
