Caption Lake Schiffenen has a reservoir volume of approx. 59 million m³. The dam wall with a height of 47 m has a crown length of 417 m. The power plant at the foot of the dam with two Kaplan machine groups has a capacity of 2x35 MW. The water of the Sarine/Saane already escapes through the power station. The dam also serves as a road connection Schiffenen-Kleingurmels and replaces the upstream old bridge
Caption (German) Der Schiffenensee hat ein Stauvolumen von ca. 59 Mio. m³. Die Staumauer mit einer Höhe von 47 m hat eine Kronenlänge von 417 m. Das Kraftwerk am Fuss der Staumauer mit zwei Kaplan-Maschinengruppen hat eine Leistung von 2x35 MW. Das Wasser der Sarine/Saane entweicht bereits über das Kraftwerk. Der Staudamm dient auch als Strassenverbindung Schiffenen-Kleingurmels und ersetzt die flussaufwärts liegende alte Brücke
