Caption Coastal freighter "Calderon", built 1919 by Caledonian Shipbuilding & Engineering Comp in Dundee, WW1 C7-class, propulsion: three-cylinder compound engine. Assigned to the shipping company Mac Andrew Robert & Co. On 2.5.1942 it was attacked and hit by German planes in the Mediterranean Sea, whereupon it exploded and sank immediately.
Caption (German) Küstenfrachter "Calderon", erbaut 1919 von Caledonian Shipbuilding & Engineering Comp in Dundee, WW1 C7-class, Antrieb: dreizylindrige Verbundmaschine. Der Reederei Mac Andrew Robert & Co zugeteilt. Am 2.5.1942 wurde es von deutschen Flugzeugen im Mittelmeer angegriffen und getroffen, worauf es explodierte und sofort sank
