Customer: ETH Institute for Railway Construction. Garrat machines: Steam locomotives with two engines, designed as bogies, connected to each other by a bridge; driver's cab and boiler on the bridge; this allows a lot of tractive power to be generated with one engine, and also increases cornering capability; most widespread: Africa (often in Cape gauge), India, Spain

Besteller: ETH-Institut für Eisenbahnbau. Garrat-Maschinen: Dampfloks mit zwei Triebwerken, als Drehgestelle ausgebildet, durch eine Brücke miteinander verbunden; Führerhaus und Kessel auf der Brücke; dadurch kann viel Zugkraft mit einer Maschine erzeugen werden, zudem ist die Kurvengänglichkeit erhöht; grösste Verbreitung: Afrika (häufig in Kapspur), Indien, Spanien
