Caption View of the countryside around the villages of Vlaole (left) and Rudna Glava (behind the hill range), today part of the municipality of Majdanpek in the Bor district. The area is drained by the little river Pek, which flows to the Danube (in the direction of view). Mittelholzer takes shortcuts here south of the Danube, which makes many bends to the north in the Romanian-Serbian border area
Caption (German) Blick auf die Landschaft um die Gemeinden Vlaole (links) und Rudna Glava (hinter der Hügelkette), heute Teil der Gemeinde Majdanpek im Bezirk Bor. Die Gegend wird vom Flüsschen Pek entwässert, der zur Donau (in Blickrichtung) fliesst. Mittelholzer nimmt hier Abkürzungen südlich der Donau, die im rumänisch-serbischen Grenzgebiet viele Bögen nach Norden macht
