Caption DS "Neptunia", built in 1912 by the Bremen Vulkan shipyard in Bremen-Vegesack as "Sierra Salvada", maiden voyage 1.3.1931 to Argentina. Propulsion: two classic three-cylinder compound engines on two screws. Summer/fall 1914 laid up in Rio, confiscated by the Brazilian government in 1917, handed over to Lloyd Brasilero as "Avaré"(...) in 1946 to the Soviet Union and refurbished in Warnemünde as a GDR reparation. As "Sivir", the veteran traveled halfway around the world to Vladivostok in October 1948, where the ship served all kinds of purposes, finally still as a storage ship, demolition 1963
Caption (German) DS "Neptunia", erbaut 1912 von der Bremer Vulkan Werft in Bremen-Vegesack als "Sierra Salvada", Jungfernfahrt 1.3.1931 nach Argentinien. Antrieb: zwei klassische Dreizylinder-Verbundmaschinen auf zwei Schrauben. Sommer/Herbst 1914 in Rio aufgelegt, 1917 beschlagnahmt von der brasilianischen Regierung, an Lloyd Brasilero als "Avaré"(...) 1946 der Sowjetunion übergeben und in Warnemünde als Reparationsleistung der DDR aufgefrischt. Als "Sivir" reiste der Veteran im Oktober 1948 um die halbe Welt nach Wladiwostok, wo das Schiff allerlei Zwecken diente, zuletzt noch als Lagerschiff, Abbruch 1963
