Caption | Seaward ship: saloon steamer "Evian", delivered in 1875 by Escher Wyss & Cie as "Mont-Blanc", rebuilt after the explosion accident of 1892 and renamed "La Suisse" (I), renamed "La Suisse" (II) in 1910 after commissioning of the landward ship, out of service in 1939, then demolished. The "La Suisse" (II) lying directly on the shore was built by Sulzer/Winterthur in 1910 and is still active today after several general overhauls. Night shot |
