On 4.1.1943, Swissair started a commercial pilot course with the following participants, all of whom later successfully flew on routes: Hellmuth Erni (1917-1999), Kurt Herzog (1918-), Ferdi Länzlinger (1916-2003), Walo Ris (1915-1970), Ruedi Schärer (1913-?), Ferdi Schmid (1916-2003), Guy Steiner (1917-1993)
