Caption | The JU-86 HB-IXE crashed on 20.7.39 near Konstanz and came as a prototype of a total of 728 built D.H. 89 1934 to Aero St. Gallen. On 20.3.1937 it was taken over by Swissair. Received around 1948 the new registration HB-APA. On 24.6.1954 it went to Farner Grenchen and in 1955 to the Motorfluggruppe Zürich for sightseeing flights. In 1959 it was withdrawn from service and in 1962 burned by airport fire department for an exercise. Caption (German) | Die JU-86 HB-IXE stürzte am 20.7.39 bei Konstanz ab und kam als Prototyp von total 728 gebauten D.H. 89 1934 zur Aero St. Gallen. Am 20.3.1937 wurde sie von der Swissair übernommen. Erhielt um 1948 die neue Immatrikulation HB-APA. Am 24.6.1954 ging sie an Farner Grenchen und 1955 an die Motorfluggruppe Zürich für Rundflüge. 1959 wurde sie aus dem Verkehr gezogen und 1962 durch Flughafen-Feuerwehr für eine Übung verbrannt.
