| Caption | Message of the postcard: It is frightfully hot here and as my summer vacation is on now I shall be going to Stakkaido, and island north west of here where it is quite cool during the hot days. Shall send you cards on my way there. After my return from Stokkaido I am going to take the children to the seaside for a month to recuperate as they are suffering from influenza now. Isn't it awfully to have sick children. Of course, the case with my children is not as serious as the usual unfluenza but they cough with little or not fever. Doctors advice that they need a cool sea air to recuperate. I hope you don't have such hot days as we do here. It is supposed to be getting hotter yet. The thermometer indicates 33° cent today.
