| Caption | Postcard message: Dear Mrs. Züst, When we arrived at the hotel on Monday, the sun outshone the magnificent landscape. Madame de Gunten was waiting for us in the hall and accompanied us to our brewing room on the 2nd floor with a view of the magnificent Savoy mountains and the lovely Lake Geneva. Flowers were blooming everywhere. Inside the hotel and outside in the garden we are surrounded by a color symphony of flowers. It is simply refreshing and is a source of joy. Two years ago my husband and I spent happy days here. I miss him very much, but my cousin takes care of me in a very caring way. Before I left, I had the electrician set up an automatic timer. Do not be alarmed if the light is on in the hallway from 9 pm to 1 am. This is just for your orientation. I wish you still sunny days and greet you cordially your Elsa Hauser. Postmark 13.9.1979 |
| Caption (German) | Botschaft der Postkarte: Liebe Frau Züst, Als wir am Montag im Hotel ankamen überstrahlte die Sonne die herrliche Landschaft. Madame de Gunten erwartete uns in der Halle und begleitete uns in unser Sudzimmer im 2. Stock mit Blick auf die prächtigen Savoyer Berge und auf den lieblichen Genfersee. Überall blüht es. Im Hotel drinnen und draussen im Garten sind wir umgeben von einer Farbensymphonie von Blumen. Es ist einfach erfrischend und ist eine Quelle der Freude. Vor zwei Jahren haben mein Mann und ich hier glückliche Tage verlebt. Er fehlt mir sehr, aber meine Cousine nimmt sich meiner sehr fürsorglich an. Bevor ich verreiste liess ich noch durch den Elektriker eine automatische Schaltuhr einrichten. Erschrecken Sie nicht wenn im Hausgang von 21 Uhr bis 1 Uhr das Licht brennt. Dies nur zu Ihrer Orientierung. Ich wünsche Ihnen noch sonnige Tage und grüsse Sie herzlich Ihre Elsa Hauser. Poststempel 13.9.1979 |
