Caption The company Tavaro SA, Geneva had launched the "Elna" in 1940. It was the world's first portable sewing machine with free arm, electric drive and sewing light, weight 6.5 kg. Sie war weltweit die erste tragbare Nähmaschine mit Freiarm, elektrischem Antrieb und Nählicht, Gewicht 6.5 kg. Der Metallkoffer diente auch als Nähtisch.
