Caption Vreni Gügi, Comet. By the time the Zurich public transportation system was launched on May 27, 1990, some 800 new ticket vending machines had been installed. They replaced the old machines that had been in operation for 20 years. The new ticket vending machines could issue change and offered one-way tickets for the entire city and regional network.
Caption (German) Vreni Gügi, Comet. Bis zum Start des Zürcher Verkehrsverbundes am 27.05.1990 sind rund 800 neue Billettautomaten aufgestellt worden. Sie ersetzten die alten Automaten, die 20 Jahre in Betrieb waren. Die neuen Billettautomaten konnten Rückgeld herausgeben und boten Einzelbillette für das ganze Stadt- und Regionalnetz
