Caption | Built in 1904 by the shipyard Sir John Laing & Sons in Deptford/GB, the two three-cylinder triple-expansion steam engines, one behind the other and acting on one propeller, were built by George Clark Ltd. Client: Quebec and Gulf Ports & Co. Ltd, which operated the vessel between the St. Lawrence River and Gulf of Mexico ports. Passenger ship with substantial cargo capacity and refrigerated holds. During the war, the ship was seized by the Canadian Navy and used for its own purposes. Subsequently two changes of ownership in the West Indies trade, new name "Fort Hamilton". Sold in 1926 to Fratelli Consulich in Trieste, new name "Stella d'Italia". 1930 sale to Lloyd Triestino, year 1931 leased to Reederei Puglia, Società Anonima in Bari. Scrapped in Trieste in 1934. Auftraggeber: Quebec and Gulf Ports & Co. Ltd, die das Schiff zwischen dem St. Lorenz-Strom und den Häfen des Golfs von Mexiko einsetzte. Passagierschiff mit erheblicher Frachtkapazität und Kühlräumen. Im Krieg wurde das Schiff von der Kanadischen Marine beschlagnahmt und für eigene Zwecke eingesetzt. Danach zwei Eignerwechsel im Fahrgebiet Westindien, neuer Name "Fort Hamilton". Verkauf 1926 an die Fratelli Consulich in Triest, neuer Name "Stella d’Italia". 1930 Verkauf an Lloyd Triestino, Jahr 1931 an die Reederei Puglia, Società Anonima in Bari vermietet.
