| Caption | Postcard message: Dear Father! Yesterday evening 6 beautiful chickens flew to us & this morning we already found 2 eggs. This makes us now great joy & we thank you very much for it, as well as Franz & Louise for your efforts. today finally nice weather has come back to the country. We are glad about it, because tomorrow master mill wants to come to us. Plly is doing well, he is thriving excellently, but is still persistently silent, as much as we are trying to learn him to speak. Hopefully he will be able to do something when you come to us in the fall. Best wishes, of course, also for Louise & Franz, yours Adolf & Emmy. Postmark 7.8.1909. |
| Caption (German) | Botschaft der Postkarte: Lieber Vater! Gestern Abend kamen uns 6 schöne Hühner zugeflogen & heute morgen fanden wir bereits 2 Eier. Das macht uns nun grosse Freude & wir danken Euch herzlich dafür, ebenso auch Franz & Louise für Ihre Bemühungen. heute ist endlich wieder schönes Wetter in’s Land gekommen. Wir sind froh darüber, denn morgen will ja Meister Mühle zu uns kommen. Plly geht’s gut, er gedeiht vortrefflich, schweigt aber noch beharrlich, soviel wie wir uns Mühe geben, ihn sprechen zu lernen. Hoffentl. kann er dann etwas, wenn Ihr im Herbst zu uns kommt. Herzliche Grüsse senden Euch natürlich auch für Louise & Franz, Eure Adolf & Emmy. Poststempel 7.8.1909. |
