Caption Run. Ioannina (colloquially also ????????, Jánnena, or ????????, Jánnina; Albanian Janinë/-a; Aromunian Ianina or Enine; Turkish Yanya) is the capital of the Epirus region in modern Greece. The Italian stamp imprinted with the Turkish currency para dates from 1908-09, when the city was part of the Ottoman Empire but apparently under Italian administration. The bell tower still exists today (2017)
Caption (German) Gelaufen. Ioannina (umgangssprachlich auch ????????, Jánnena, oder ????????, Jánnina; albanisch Janinë/-a; aromunisch Ianina oder Enine; türkisch Yanya) ist die Hauptstadt der Region Epirus im heutigen Griechenland. Die italienische Briefmarke mit Aufdruck der türkischen Währung Para stammt aus dem Jahr 1908/09. Zu dieser Zeit gehörte die Stadt zum osmanischen Reich, war aber offenbar unter italienischer Verwaltung. Der Glockenturm besteht noch heute (2017)
