Caption In 1935, the floating station hall Geneva Jardin Anglais, made from the shell of the decommissioned steamer "France", was put into operation. Left: one of the last trips of the aged steamer "Léman" III (1859 !), which was hardly used after the onset of the Great Depression and was rebuilt in 1945 as a motor ship on the old shell. Message of the postcard: Dear Tsi-Tsi! What do you think happened to your letters? Well, they are gone, i.e. I had to wait until today because they can only be brought to the Konverenz building on Tuesdays. Hopefully they will arrive safely. Fanny will have told you that I feel well here in Geneva. More another time. Greetings from your Trude. Postmark 3.5.1932
Caption (German) 1935 wurde die aus der Schale des ausgemusterten Dampfers "France" hergestellte schwimmende Stationshalle Genf Jardin Anglais in Betrieb genommen. Links: eine der letzten Fahrten des betagten Dampfer "Léman" III (1859 !), der nach Einsetzen der Weltwirtschaftskrise kaum mehr eingesetzt wurde und 1945 als Motorschiff auf der alten Schale neu erstand. Botschaft der Postkarte: Liebes Tsi-Tsi! Was Du wohl denkst dass mit Deinen Briefen passiert sei? Also Sie sind weg, d.h. ich musste bis heute warten denn man kann sie jeweils nur Dienstags in das Konverenzgebäude bringen. Hoffentlich kommen sie gut an.- Dass ich mich hier in Genf wohl fühle wird Dir Fanny gesagt haben. Ein ander Mal mehr. Sei herzlich gegrüsst v. Deiner Trude. Poststempel 3.5.1932
