Caption At the Débarcadère du Jardin Anlgais: Semi-saloon steamer "Major Davel", delivered by Escher Wyss & Cie in 1892, active until 1967 and converted into clubhouse for the port of Thonon. The barely medium-sized ship was characterized by a three-cylinder compound engine, which amounted to a certain "over-motorization" and manifested itself in a rather high fuel consumption. Message of the postcard: Dear Elisabeth. just quickly a card for your collection. I start with a general ? Caption (German) Am Débarcadère du Jardin Anlgais: Halbsalondampfer "Major Davel", 1892 von Escher Wyss & Cie geliefert, bis 1967 aktiv und zu Clubhaus für den Hafen Thonon umgestaltet. Das knapp mittelgrosse Schiff zeichnete sich durch eine Dreizylinder-Verbundmaschine aus, was einer gewissen "Übermotorisierung" gleich kam und sich in einem eher hohen Brennstoffverbrauch äusserte. Botschaft der Postkarte: Liebe Elisabeth. nur schnell eine Karte für Deine Sammlung. Ich fange mit einer allgemeinen ? an! Gestern machte ich eine fabelhafte Tour per Auto ? + höre + staune mit dem chaf! ? etwa ähnlich wie der gemeinde Chor. Ich habe fast ? Herzliche Grüsse an Deine Familie + Fanny + ? Alles Gute Gina.
