Caption In the foreground: one of the three Basel cable ferries, behind: a steamer of the Köln-Mülheimer Dampfschifffahrts-AG, which operated a local passenger shipping service from Basel in the approximately 10 years before World War 1. Message of the postcard: Dear Dad! Here is a card that you don't have yet. Yesterday we were in the Rhine harbor, (nothing great), today we go to Alschwil, from where you also have no cards. Caption (German) Im Vordergrund: eine der drei Basler Seilfähren, dahinter: ein Dampfer der Köln-Mülheimer Dampfschifffahrts-AG, die in den rund 10 Jahren vor dem 1 Weltkrieg ab Basel eine lokale Passagierschifffahrt durchführte. Botschaft der Postkarte: Lieber Papa! Hier eine Karte die Du jedenfalls noch nicht hast. Gestern waren wir im Rheinhafen, (nichts Grossartiges), heute gehn wir nach Alschwil, von wo Du jedenfalls auch noch keine Karten hast. Beste Grüsse Elisabeth . Poststempel 11.8.1924
