Caption Message of the postcard: M. L. Send you herewith a view of my cantonnement, it is this the oldest inn in Goldau. In the crash of the Rossberg on Sept. 2, 1806, the building (then a farmhouse) was partially smashed but later rebuilt and furnished as an inn. My room is on the 1st floor. I like it here, but in summer it would be even nicer. My best regards to you, Emmy and to my dear Lisabethli from your Franz. Postmark 30.11.1916
Caption (German) Botschaft der Postkarte: M. L. Sende Dir hiermit eine Ansicht von meinem Kantonnement, es ist dies das älteste Gasthaus in Goldau. Beim Absturz des Rossberges am 2. Sept. 1806, wurde das Gebäude (damals ein Bauernhaus) teilweise zertrümmert später aber wieder aufgebaut und als Gasthaus eingerichtet. Mein Zimmer befindet sich im 1. Stock. Es gefällt mir gut hier, aber im Sommer wäre es noch schöner. Meine besten Grüsse sendet Dir, Emmy udn bem lieben Lisabethli Euer Franz. Poststempel 30.11.1916
