Caption | The testing procedure for the young bulls in the Schwarzfleckvieh has proven itself. Four years ago, the Schwarzflecken introduced this system, because increasingly the test bulls were used on the worst cows in terms of conformation and performance. With the obligatory allocation of a certain age category of cows (mostly first cows) with test bulls (max 1/3 of the coverable herd), the conditions for objective offspring testing were significantly improved. This means an increase in breeding progress for the whole breed and thus also brings long-term economic advantages to every Black Spot cattle breeder. Caption (German) | Das Prüfverfahren für die Jungstiere beim Schwarzfleckvieh hat sich bewährt. Vor 4 Jahren haben die Schwarzflecken dieses System eingeführt, weil zunehmend die Prüfstiere auf die schlechtesten Kühe hinsichtlich Exterieur und Leistung eingesetzt wuden. Mit der obligatorischen Belegung einer bestimmten Alterskategorie von Kühen (meistens Erstlingskühe) mnit Prüfstieren (max 1/3 des deckfähigen Bestandes) wuden die Voraussetzungen für eine objektive Nachzuchtprüfung deutlich verbessert. Dies bedeutet eine Steigerung des Zuchtfortschrittes für die ganze Rasse und bringt somit auch jedem Schwarzfleckviehzüchter langfristig in wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht Vorteile.
