Caption DS "Neuchatel" (Escher Wyss & Cie 1912), which can be distinguished by details from its sister ship "Fribourg", was in operation until 1968 and was then totally rebuilt and used as a restaurant in the port of Neuchatel for about 40 years. Thanks to the initiative of the association "Trivapor", it was possible to resurrect the ship in a practically historically correct configuration, so that today it is again busy as a real paddle steamer on the Jura lakes. Message of the postcard: Monsieur! Recevez beaucoup de salutation de cette petite ville de Neuchâtel et de la jeune fille devotre Mr Ernest Kägi. Postmark 8.5.1919
Caption (German) DS "Neuchatel" (Escher Wyss & Cie 1912), das sich durch Details vom Schwesterschiff "Fribourg" unterscheiden lässt, bis 1968 in Betrieb und wurde dann total umgebaut rund 40 Jahre als Restaurant im Hafen Neuenburg genutzt. Dank der Initiative des Vereins "Trivapor" gelang es, das Schiff in praktisch historisch richtiger Konfiguration wiederauferstehen zu lassen, es ist heute somit wieder fleissig als echter Raddampfer auf den Juraseen unterwegs.
