| Caption | This photograph impressively shows the luxury and the preference for overloaded decorations of the "Bel Epoque". An example of this are the curtain decorations. At the top, the deep gathered bows, at the sides, the folded-back shawls and all the hems trimmed with tassel borders. The window curtains are damask, those in the passage to the sideboard are velvet. Whoever rode here had a thick checkbook |
| Caption (German) | Diese Aufnahme zeigt eindrücklich den Luxus und die Vorliebe für überladene Dekorationen der "Bel Epoque". Ein Beispiel dafür sind die Vorhangdekorationen. Oben die tiefen Raffbogen, seitlich die zurückgefassten Schals und alle Säume besetzt mit Quastenborten. Die Fenstervorhänge sind aus Damast, diejenigen im Durchgang zur Anrichte aus Velvet.
