Caption | Glacier House was a hotel built in 1886 by Canadian Pacific Railway a few km south of Rodgers Pass in today's Glacier National Park between Golden and Revelstoke. Because the railroad line was too steep to carry dining cars, passengers were fed at the hotel. The hotel had its own railroad station and was located in the immediate vicinity of the Illecillewaet Glacier. |
