Caption | 2'D Four-unit hot steam locomotive series 26b, built in 1911. The preceding series 26a was developed by SLM in Winterthur and delivered in three copies in 1910. The present small series of two 26b locomotives (Nos. 229 and 230) was virtually identical, but deliberately three tons heavier, and was built by Thunes in Kristiania. The subsequent 26c series was more numerous and thermally more successful because the composite principle was applied |
